  • Do residents get outside?

We have scenic rides several times a week. Weather permitting, residents will go on weekly walks with the activity staff. Additionally, we also have a patio garden residents are welcome to visit.
  • Does someone help residents to eat?

Yes. Residents are assisted on a one-on-one basis as needed. Special diets ordered by the resident physician can be accommodated.
  • Do residents wander?

Residents will wander from time to time and staff will encourage participation in our daily activity program. Within our specially designed environment residents may walk throughout the common areas. In addition, we have a resident monitoring system - The Vigil System. The Vigil System monitors residents when they are in their apartments (at night), close to an exit, or in their restroom. The system will contact staff determined by the individual settings based on each resident's ability.
  • Doctor appointments?

When appointments are set up our staff can escort residents to the appointment, if the family is not available to do so. The doctor's office will fax over any changes to our Special Care Coordinator or Director of Health Services. We also have referrals for in house visits (Physicians, Podiatrists, and Dentists.)
  • Do residents share apartments?

Residents may share apartments if they wish. They are placed together on the basis of their level of cognition and socialization.
  • Is there a nurse staff?

Our Director of Health Services is a licensed nurse. She is responsible for guiding and training our care staff and ensuring we are meeting the resident care needs within our community.
  • What are some of the activities?

Activities are the cornerstone of our Memory Care Program and are utilized to engage residents with the hope that an engaged resident will experience less memory issues. Our activities are based on the level of functioning of the residents and their interest in the activity. Activities such as reminiscing, ball games, word games, trivia, exercise, cards, bingo, cooking class and others are incorporated into our program. We have special events to mark birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday events.
